A Brief History Of MTC Mira Road
Journey Begins:
By God's grace and the joint efforts of Rev. Lionel Hector and Methodist Tamil Church, Borivali, Methodist Tamil Church, Mira Road, was inaugurated on 3rd October, 1999. A few Tamil Christian families started Sunday worship service in a small classroom in St. Xavier's High School, Mira Road. By God's abundant love on his people, we could procure a flat along with terrace.
Recognition As Pastorate Conference:
In the year 2003, this church started functioning independently. In the month of October, 2007, MTC Mira Road was recognized as a Pastorate Conference.
Blessings In Disguise:
Even though the basic renovation was not done, the first Church service took place at the present venue, On January 26th, 2014. In the month of October, 2014, the basic renovation such as false ceiling, sound proof, Altar and air conditioning was done.
Dedication:
The recent renovation includes Roof Repair, Altar Furniture, Pulpit, Cupboard, Flooring and Painting. To the glory of God, Methodist Tamil Church, Mira Road was dedicated on 21st January, 2017, by Hon. Bishop Dr. Anilkumar Servand.
We thank God and we once again thank MCI, MRC Bishops, all the Pastors and Congregation for their timely support and prayers.
